CURIOSITIES
The book's title comes from the famous Renaissance rooms in which, as we would in museums, collections of curiosities were displayed (fossils, minerals, artwork, antiques, scientific instruments). One of the most famous was that of the Hapsburg Emperor Rudolf II in Prague Castle, which is based on the novel.
CLOCK ASTRONOMICAL
Another influence of the novel is the legend of the famous astronomical clock in Prague. The clock was built in 1490 by master clockmaker Hanus and perfected by Jan Taborsky in the sixteenth century. According to legend, Prague authorities, fearful that Hanus repeat his wonderful work because of the praise he was receiving from all over Europe, decided to leave him blind.
IN OTHER COUNTRIES
addition to Spain, the rights of the trilogy have been sold to Germany, China, France, Italy, Japan and the Netherlands.

FIRST LINES
yellow hills up and down forming peaks and valleys. That morning, the Bohemian countryside looked like a huge golden sea of \u200b\u200bhigh waves.
A car moving along the valley rickety. Sitting in the narrow seat, two men watched the muscular horse that threw them. In the back, a lump covered by a tarp filled the space.
One, Jarek, had the reins. He coughed.
-should pay me double for this, "he said. What a stink!
- What do you mean? Asked Martin, the co-Jarek. He turned and looked at the package. Jarek
watched.
"I do not mean. Are those damn flowers, these sprouts. They smell worse than a latrine with five hundred years old.
- Go! "Said Martin. I like how they smell.
The hills were yellow flowers and clustered, shiny. Jarek
continued
"I do not change for one of you all day working in those fields of flowers stink. Returning to Prague, my clothes smell of decay.
Too lazy to be offended, Martin leaned back in his cracked leather seat.
