Scabs And Bleeding In Nose

A particularly following an upcoming

soon be released in our country road movie English director Javier Fesser, responsible until two other titles: The Miracle of P. and Tinto's Big Adventure Mortadelo and Philemon. Camino dates from 2008, and generated at the time a great controversy because the story is based: the life of Alexia Gonzalez-Barros, a girl who died in 1985, when he was 14, because a cancer that had been submitted several months ago. By the way conducted his illness, how willingly offered his suffering, his case is currently in the process of beatification.

The fundamental fact of Alexia's biography is that his family was a member of Opus Dei Prelature of the Catholic Church to which controversies have never been outside. Well, if I say that this data is the main thing is because for the director Fesser, as well as for those who were encouraged and shall encourage their supporters, this institution represents, in his movie, bad, or what can someone like Fesser understand that. Then say that Opus Dei, with its representatives, their beliefs and their ways is, in principle responsible for the sufferings of Way (named in the fiction of character inspired by Alexia), as on a par with the disease. Or at least the conditions for spiritual or psychological level (God knows what word should be used in this case, because honestly it is very difficult to imagine what conception or view of life and man can have someone like Fesser).

will not be this writing a defense of the institution founded by Escriva de Balaguer, clearly will not be an attack. Regard of the Prelature, only point out that generally speaking from complete ignorance, from prejudice and from hate. Is repeated over and over how horrible that is Opus Dei, but rarely does so with fundamentals. And reading the reviews about the movie Camino, we proved this once more: it is full of repeaters who speak and write all the clichés that always appear when referring to the work. We repeat: we do not mind doing this a defense of the work, but we want to make it spoken without the slightest competence in this area, because that leads to the next point: this superb ignorance is not exclusive opinions about the Prelature , but they are just an extension of the general attitude we have about the Catholic. Ignorance and hatred of the Catholic consistent is the ultimate foundation of all this. And that is ultimately what Fesser expressing his film, this is not anti Opus Dei, but is fiercely anti-Catholic, anti-Christian and anti-religious. And take that position so rude and vile.

always thought that before the attacks on religion one professes, the latter attitude was possible to feel offended. I've never been, and that the samples are daily hate. But how do you feel offended?; Can, for example, offend the view of a poor sociology professor or a journalist?; can thus undermine something as huge as the feeling of faith?. No way. Or again: can we afford to feel offended by so many progressive opinólogos when you have on your side, what I know, the texts of St. Augustine? And how much, if we Hitchcock, Ford, and Cameron, we can feel what offense? None. Placed on the role of indignant attitude is not our part, we have to do to counter. Moreover, any attack should be an excuse, an opportunity to expose our virtues. Among those that should be, of course, charity, even towards those we are attacking. In short, there is no need of a Christian martyrdom defeatist take offense.

But this idea has been implicit fatally-share pride, and so I must confess at this time. And that I discovered while watching the movie suffered Fesser. That strength, at least during the hours that lasted the film, I had left. But offense (I refuse to put myself in that place, on the other hand sounds like the complaint of a progressive willing to rush to INADI), it felt very uncomfortable, a pain to so much evil and wickedness exposed with impunity. A pain that moved in two directions. On the one hand because the extremely low film to attack my religion, and on the other, because I could not stop thinking about how bad and painful (but at a level unimaginable) that might come to feel the relatives and friends of Alex, because while film is a fiction, "the dedication to his memory in a return impossible to separate the account of the true facts. And so everything Fesser invented in the film, many viewers will remain for historical facts, and the director will achieve the objective of contributing to the black legend, not only of Opus Dei, but Catholicism, and religion.

After watching the film, I read that Fesser had the shameless audacity to invite the family to the premiere of Alexia road, where they recreate the conditions that cancer caused the girl, and it targets the faith of her and her family, thanks to the which they could face such pain. I sincerely believe that we must be very wicked and son of a bitch.

respect, some excerpts from a letter written by one of the brothers of Alexia, addressed to the director, are exemplary: "I sat down to watch your press conference at the San Sebastian Festival with one goal: he wanted hear arguments before the journalists who never put you in touch with us and why you have not attended our formal request to withdraw from your movie explicit reference to Alexia. " Then, referring to the final scene of the movie, one of the most heinous ever have been filmed in that family, priests, nurses, etc. applaud at the time of death of the girl, says, "should not have to tell you that my sister Alexia did not die surrounded by applause. He died surrounded by love. Affection of their loved ones: parents and siblings and the respectful silence of nurses, doctors and patients on his own initiative approached Alexia's room. He died while trying to swallow our tears, because, do not forget- for us was a real tragedy to think of having to bear their loss. You see what attitude so unoriginal. A great sorrow for the loss of a beloved. It is true that the great regret of his loss is softened only by the intimate conviction that Alexia had left to suffer and was in heaven. I recognize that this is the advantage of being believers. "

The film chronicles the last months of life of road, the name of both the central character and the film itself, and is taken sarcastically title of the book written by the founder of Opus Dei. These months are marked by the illness of the child, a cancer Among other things, the paralyzed and will eventually end up killing him. In the process, the mother is one of the villains, a fanatical, irrational and castrating religious woman claims handled by representatives of the work (we have from the point of view of the film), which does not like your daughter to participate in a theater class, and will not eat the cake (and is locked in a convent to his other daughter). For its part, the father is a total idiot and dominated, which is not at all convinced of the ways of his wife and the institution to which they belong. Finally, there is also Jesus, a classmate of Alex, whom she likes. Will this key character throughout the film.

While the mother and the evil of Opus think they see in the attitude of road a rare display of holiness, Fesser shows that girls are actually creating their own world as a defense. There is a clash between what the mother very perversely and Opus and the world want to see fantasy owners and Fesser you create your character. World in which finally, when I die, you can meet your Jesus, not the Jesus Christ of chupacirios. The applause at the time of death of the girl crown this idea.

The amount of low blows and atrocities is great. But I refer to a particular sequence. The father, who Fesser shows how the one who sees the mother and the followers of further work are torturing the poor road, decides to buy the desired cake for her daughter. And so it falls on the premises of the family of Jesus. There he realizes who the child, and who really thinks her daughter. So this leaves apuradísimo local road take the cake and tell your Jesus saw. But this will never happen. A traffic accident ends his life (of course, the shock is neatly filmed). This is the way Fesser. As a good atheist who takes the place of God (though do not know, because it is unable to handle these ideas), plays with his creatures, in this case, hitting the viewer in the lowest, with only one goal: to attack the faith and put him false ideas about religion and the world.

Fesser is this: a man made a god who commands his art course after giving its viewers two hours of torture. So does his parody of The Passion, which is not pursued any salvation but it portrays "the power of imagination." Fesser we want to sell your imagination Beretta, horrible dreams and dream images. Replaces religion for the stupidity of his fantasy world (and before trying to loosen a calamities hit several). In no way opposed to the professed by Opus something different, another religion. Such a thing is absent in the film. That is why it would be unwise to think that this is nothing more than a criticism of the Prelature alluded.

And worst of all this (which also may be that it has taken me to write this) is that some have sought to justify the English saying it shows the sacred, the transcendent, religious and faith as they should be, instead of how these same concepts are manipulated by the Opus Dei (and the Catholic Church all). Course-of course-they are people who have no the slightest idea what those questions mean. Even from a secular standpoint or anthropological.
